Join me in my mothers land where I can share the wild and very beautiful Northumberland Coast with you. Spend a week by the rugged North Sea in an immersive wander through history and heroism. We will walk in a mindful way along mile and miles of windswept sandy beaches whilst enjoying views of distant lighthouses and Islands. Enjoy food at Smugglers Inns tucked above old Stone Harbours and watch fishermen still landing the days catch. Embrace nature and the seabirds which are in abundance β¦ the binoculars are always at the ready. Spend a day on the Holy Island of Lindisfarne where her peace will soothe your spirit and soul. Our base is the wonderful hotel The Whittling House in the quiet and very pretty seaside village of Alnmouth in Northumberland. All rooms are ensuite with private bathroom. The Hotel has a wonderful restaurant with fresh seasonal food and incredible choices. The railway station is five minutes away by Taxi and the train line connects to either Newcastle of Edinburgh and onwards. Airports are located at Newcastle and Edinburgh

A non refundable deposit of Β£800.00 is required to secure your room and place on this adventure with the full deposit being due no less that 12 calendar weeks before the start of the holiday.
In the event that Shepherdess has to cancel your holiday, then you will receive your deposit or total payment in full.
Guests are responsible for their own travel arrangements to and from Scarista House Isle of Harris.
Guests are responsible for their own holiday insurance.
All drinks and extras must be paid for by guests separately before checking out of the hotel.
Please bring outdoor clothing, a waterproof and stout boots for beach and headland walks, a warm jumper and a hat as the hebrides can be windy even on a summers day.
