Heritage is my hallmark
Shepherdess tweeds are all produced using my wool and that of friends who farm in The Yorkshire Dales. I design all of my tweeds and choose the colour, weight and weave of the cloths. My inspiration is the sheep themselves, their wool and then the environment in which they thrive. Shepherdess tweeds are woven locally in Farfield Mill, Sedbergh and Almondbury Weaving in Huddersfield. I design my entire textile range into beautiful clothing and hand bags. My products are hand made and hand-stitched in Cumbria. All are produced within small artisan workshops by skilled craftsmen and women. I do not mass produce, I take my time to keep quantity small and quality high. I offer total provenance across the entire collection. Sustainable fashion at its very best.
